Penpal - Oklahoma Death Row

We would like to add some information about writing to prisoners in Oklahoma.

These prisoners do NOT receive any funds from the Department of Corrections, they rely entirely on friends and family. Which, of course, is the case in most States. The difference is this: we are allowed to send stamps, envelopes and other writing-necessities (to help the inmates maintain contact with the outside world) in the other States, in Oklahoma this is NOT allowed. To give you an idea about the situation: there are only 6 paid jobs available for over 80 inmates. This jobs do not rotate .The only way to help out an inmate in Oklahoma, is by sending Money Orders directly to the inmate. As we are aware that not everybody wishes to send money, or is not in the position to send money, we decided to add this information. This way neither you nor the inmate will have unrealistic expectations..
